Watchdog

Watchdog is NET's primary ping-based monitoring tool. Primary Watchdog consists of all critical datacenter and building infrastructure including servers, switches, and wireless. Other Watchdogs include various devices on campus that NET monitors.

Speedtest

Speedtest is best used to determine throughput for a given connection. If speeds are not within 20% of the negoitated speed, a cabling issue may exist. Accurate for connections up to 1G. Results may vary with 10G.

Traceroute

Traceroute is a diagnostic tool to display the route traffic will take to a specific host. This tool is helpful in troubleshooting off-campus connectivity

Network Latency (Smokeping)

Smokeping is a network latency visualization tool. This tool is useful for identifying packet loss to on and off campus hosts.

MAC Based Wireless Auth (LUNA)

Users who have wireless devices that are unable to connect to the secure "lehigh" wireless network can connected to the unsecured wireless network "luna". This includes IoT devices.
